When I first started out in the ‘make money online’ niche I had an awful lot of success with advertising in newspapers and magazines but I would have to be completely honest and say that this form of advertising is not something that I take advantage of at the moment but that is not saying that it does not work, far from it in fact.

These days, placing an advert in any kind of publication is as easy as ABC and can be carried out online with a few clicks of the mouse. You are also able to see at a glance the kind of readers that each particular publication attracts and the prices for the different size of advertisements and the length of time that they will run for.

The same principles apply with this kind of advertising as to any form of online advertising that you may be familiar with and that is you have to stick with a magazine that is in the same niche as your own. It is no use at all if you advertise your make money online product in a gardening magazine.

It is also extremely important that you don’t jump straight in at the deep end and pay for a series of advertisements without even testing to see what kind of response you will get. Always start with a single advertisement and if the response is good you can then continue with a series of advertisements but if you go straight in there with a few months worth for instance, it could well end up costing you a lot of money.

If you are starting out with your online business or have a limited budget there are quite a few alternative advertising methods that I would recommend you use, but there is no getting away from the fact that offline advertising such as this can turn out to be extremely profitable indeed.

Thanks for reading

Word of mouth is not usually associated with online marketing but you should always consider that any kind of advertising which brings in customers is worth thinking about and if you treat your customers properly, each one could be worth a lot of money to you. The internet version of word of mouth is viral marketing and once this is set up properly you will have the best advertising.

If you don’t know what this kind of word of mouth advertising involves you will probably be familiar with a funny video clip from youtube. Someone will have seen it and passed it on to their friends, their friends will have done the same and before long it is being viewed by millions of people from all over the world.

If you can create something for your online business that other people will find interesting, and then asking the recipients to pass this on to their friends and colleagues you will find this viral word of mouth effect could easily propel your online business to the next level.

You may also be surprised that it can also be effective to promote your online business to people you talk to offline, a simple business card or flyer with a link to your blog or website can still work but the best way to go about this is to target who you give the information to, ie, only people who you think may be interested in your niche.

Anything that can bring you traffic is worth considering and as long as you look after your customers when you get them you will find that the little extra effort that it takes to use word of mouth marketing will repay you many times over.7

Thanks for reading

Something that I was told when I first started out in marketing which I have never forgotten is that if you want to advertise online you should first find somewhere with a flood of traffic & simply stand in front of it with whatever you have to offer. I fully realise that this is easier said than done for many people. Especially if they choose somewhere that has little or no traffic at all.

Alternatively the traffic is just just not interested in whatever they have to offer and not to mention that the traffic is sometimes so expensive that it is just not economical to advertise in this way. One of the best forms of advertising would have to be to find a niche blog in the same niche that you operate in and simply advertise on it, usually in the form of a banner add. You need to carry out a little research to find out what kind of traffic the blog gets but when you find one you should treat the opportunity like gold dust because you really can make a lot of money from advertising of this type.

The way it usually works is that you pay for a banner add for a certain period of time, usually a week or a month and when you look at a blog such as my own myeasyonlinepay, which gets over 300 unique visitors on a daily basis you can soon see what a great opportunity advertising on a niche blog can turn out to be, and what’s more, these banner advertisements can sometimes be purchased at a price which make it accessible for internet marketers who are just starting out on this exciting journey.

Thanks for reading

‘The money is in the list’, is a well known phrase but you may be delighted to know that it is possible to advertise to a list even if you don’t have one yourself. It can take some time to build up a list of quality subscribers but what if I told you that you could basically piggy back on someone else’s list list at a cost which is far less then you would probably imagine.

There are different ways to do this but is is vitally important that you only market to a list that is in the same niche as you or the results won’t be as good as they could be. You should also have everything set up so that you can take advantage of the traffic that will start to flow as soon as the email promotion begins.

I have always found that one of the most effective ways of advertising in this way would have to be by paying for some advertising on a series of emails that are being sent out by someone who has got a good, responsive list.

The advertisement should preferably be at the top of each email and if possible it should be for a series of emails, not just one.

There are various ways of using the traffic which will come from advertisements such as these, with one of the most popular methods being to use this traffic to build your own list. Before long, you will find yourself in a position to have your own list to promote to and you really will be able to take advantage of this list to share information with them, and to ultimately build up a strong and lasting business relationship which could last for many years to come which will produce numerous profitable opportunities along the way.

Thanks for reading

Social Media seems to be the ‘in thing’ at the moment and when it comes to using social media for advertising your online business it really is something that you should definitely consider, if you haven’t already. One of the most effective forms of social media advertising would have to be Twitter & if this platform is used correctly you’ll find that it can create a flood of traffic to your website or blog.

I was fortunate enough to be involved with Twitter before it gained the popularity that it now enjoys and I have been able, through trial and error, to find out what kind of tweets work the best and perhaps more importantly, how often these tweets should be sent out.

I have found that the most effective way to use a Twitter account is to be as natural as possible and to also give out helpful and informative tweets along the way. Be operating my Twitter account in this way I have found that my followers are really interested in what I have to say and are far more likely to investigate any offers that I make to them from time to time.

Operating a profitable Twitter account often boils down to common sense and not to be to greedy regarding promoting offers all of the time but it would be fair to say that a Twitter account operated in this way is really worth its weight in gold.

If you use your Twitter account in this way you will find that the number of people who are following you will increase on a daily basis and before you know it you will have far more interested and responsive followers than you would ever have imagined.

Thanks for reading
